 We’re on the hunt for a super-seasoned, straight-shooting, hard-working, team building,  resourceful Director of Tour Operations. Your mission will be to inspire and lead our already strong Tour Operations team through the next phase of growth and development. You’ll use your passion, executive level experience and strong leadership abilities to empower our Program Managers to do their very best work while providing them with cutting edge tools, processes and resources.

Core Responsibilities

  • Daily management of the Tour Operations department.  In short, delivering to our customers what our sales department sold them on time and on budget.
  • Build, lead and coach a team of A-Players to become the most effective, efficient, functional and personally-fulfilled Tour Operations Department in the mobile tour industry.
  • Drive improvements that efficiently deliver the best possible experience to our customers while at the same time providing Tour Ops staff with the necessary structure, guidance and tools to do their jobs and also encouraging their empowerment, creativity and initiative.
  • Constant focus on better software, better tools and better systems to simplify and improve tour operations with the greatest possible cost efficiency.
  • Meet or exceed agreed upon performance metrics.
  • Work closely with our sales staff to help drive incremental revenue via up-sell, cross-sell and renewals.
  • Create and manage departmental budget.

Experience / Qualifications

  • Strong executive level (Director or above) leadership experience and capability.  A natural born leader.
  • Demonstrated ability and record of success building teams of A-players who deliver top level performance.
  • The ability to spot and recruit A Player talent.  
  • Demonstrated ability and record of success in a customer service leadership function in a service industry.
  • Demonstrated ability and record of success executing the highest level service for Fortune 500 companies and/or leading advertising/marketing agencies.
  • Demonstrated ability and record of success scaling up a business function by creating an efficient and effective process that improves customer and employee satisfaction.
