Aardvark executes hundreds of mobile health and experiential marketing events across the country each week utilizing a large and diverse set of vehicles. We are looking for an experienced Fleet Management EXPERT to join our team and take the total lifecycle management of our critical vehicle assets - including procurement, operation, maintenance, repair and resale - to the next level. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop the process and protocols to establish and manage best-in-class preventative management program.
  • Troubleshoot remote mechanical issues in the field, source local repair, negotiate rates and ensure expeditious repair as required.
  • Identify and develop relationships with preferred maintenance providers across the country to ensure rapid, high quality service at a fair price.
  • Establish and maintain a fleet scorecard and performance metrics that allow you and senior management to understand the state of the fleet on an ongoing basis.
  • Manage DOT, IFTA, IRP compliance.
  • Manage the fleet fuel program including fleet card, monitoring compliance to company policy and exploiting the tax credit programs.
  • Implement a strong vehicle safety culture and educate frontline operations.
  • Optimize functionality of fleet management software & telematics to drive maximum fleet performance results and cost savings.
  • Maintain focus on better software, better tools and better systems to simplify and improve fleet management with the greatest possible cost efficiency.
  • Advise management on the purchase and sale of all vehicles.
  • Create and manage departmental budget.

Experience / Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of experience leading a world-class Fleet Management Department is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability and record of success managing a REMOTE fleet of vehicles on a regional, and/or a national level.
  • Highly developed mechanical aptitude and remote troubleshooting skills - including gas & diesel engines, hydraulics, 12V electrical systems, plumbing, etc.
  • Intelligent, sound judgement, assertive, independent, resourceful, tenacious and strong leadership skills.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills - the ability to effectively manage budgets, and establish, maintain and monitor fleet performance hurdles and metrics.
  • Expert knowledge of state and federal DOT requirements and regulations, IRP & IFTA compliance
  • Highly skilled at utilizing technology, apps, and online systems.
  • Excellent personal leadership skills and proven ability to build, develop, and motivate teams.
  • Proactive, well-organized, and results-oriented with the ability to lead and participate in multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to work flexible hours as required and to be on-call in response to emergency situations as needed.
  • Demonstrated track record of success delivering innovative, process and system to deliver superior operational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • CDL Class B highly preferred.
  • Budgeting experience
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
